Mr. Coster is a founder of Kimberlite. Prior to forming Kimberlite, he was the President of Ranieri Real Estate Advisors LLC, (“RREA”), a subsidiary of Ranieri Partners Management, LLC, a New York based investment advisory firm, and a predecessor company to Kimberlite. At RREA he was responsible for the management, origination and execution of the firm’s strategic advisory, equity placement, and mergers and acquisitions advisory business. Prior to joining RREA, Mr. Coster was a founder and Managing Principal at Occom Capital Partners, LLC, a boutique advisory firm focused on the real estate sector. Mr. Coster was formerly the Group Head and Managing Director in the Private Fund Advisory group of Lazard Frères & Co. LLC, where he was responsible for the third party fundraising for real estate, including sourcing private equity capital for real estate operators and evaluating global strategies for general partners and owners.
Prior to joining Lazard Frères, he was Managing Director and Group Head for U.S. Real Estate Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets and a member of the firm’s U.S. Operating Committee. Mr. Coster also held a similar position at Robertson Stephens, Inc. He began his career in commercial real estate lending in New York, NY.
Mr. Coster is on the board of directors of TE Bond Sub, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, and has served as a Visiting Executive at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He is a past member of the Board of Governors for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. Mr. Coster received his A. B. degree from Dartmouth College.
